#TantalizingTuesdays - Stormy Weather

Every Tuesday a bunch of talented writers choose a picture that inspires them to write a 200 word teaser. Check them out here.

This week a storm is brewing...

Stormy Weather

Lara watched Michael climb down over the rocks, stripping off to dive into the cool water below. She couldn't blame him, the heat, and the atmosphere had been unbearable since they'd arrived.

"Mind if I join you?"

Uncertainty clouded his blue eyes. "Sure."

As he peeled off his shirt, she almost lost her footing. It seemed an age since she'd run her fingers over those smooth biceps, and those hard abs.

He held out his hand to help her make those last few steps. They stared at each other silently, all of those sorrys and regrets exchanged in a look.

The rain started, so heavy their clothes stuck to their skin in seconds. It was as if the skies had sighed in relief, and the intense pressure had finally been released.

She wasn't sure who made the first move, but soon they were in each other's arms, desperate for body contact. Michael's mouth was hot on her skin, as they fell to the ground in a tangle of limbs.
At least they still had passion.

"Can we count this as our first fight?" he said with a grin.

Lara suspected they'd do a lot more making up on this honeymoon.

  2. I loved your picture and how you wrapped your tease around it. you captured the essence of the scene with these words- "they were in each other's arms, desperate for body contact. Michael's mouth was hot on her skin, as they fell to the ground in a tangle of limbs.
At least they still had passion." Very nice.

  3. I quite agree with exactly what Pablo said. ANd while agree, the line he quoted was artful, the pivotal line was so moving and descriptive of the moment and set the stage cleverly..."It was as if the skies had sighed in relief, and the intense pressure had finally been released." I love that line. It was as if the whole were in harmony with their passion. Loved it. xo
