Labour of Love
This was it. Five
years together and Sharon was sure Kyle was finally going to propose. When he woke
up and handed her the anniversary present, her heart sank. The gift box was too
big even for the size of diamond she had in mind. She faked a smile as she
lifted the lid to find bits of coloured paper inside.
"It took me
years to do this. Legend has it that one thousand origami cranes will bring a
long and prosperous marriage. Will you marry me?"
"Of course!"
"Of course!"
Who needed
diamonds when a girl had such a devoted partner?
