I'm still here!

Just a little update to let you know I'm still around, just juggling the EDJ, writing, and family.

Now the summer hols are here, life is more hectic than usual with two teenagers who can't be in the same room without punching each other *sigh*

As far as the writing is concerned I'm waiting on three lots of edits, including Wolfie 2 and an exciting, sexy new series!

I'm taking a little time out to lounge in the sun for the next couple of weeks. Hopefully that will fully recharge my batteries and I'll be back with notebooks full of new ideas.

Enjoy the sun :)

When Characters Take Over...

When Characters take over.

Thank you Jorja for having me on your blog. I loved Wolf on the Hill soooo much and really am looking forward to book 2 in the series.
Thank you :) Wolfie2 is on its way...

My newest release out!!! So excited!

It is called Guardian Possession and is book two of a series that started with Guardian Awakening. I have tried to write it in such a way that you don't have to read book one – although I would be delighted if you did.

The third book in the series is still in the ether somewhere. I know what the story will be but have not drafted it as yet. It will focus on the brother of Royanne called Oryan – I better get a move on I suppose!

This book was meant to be all about Royanne with Zachriel being the love interest; however the character's had other ideas. It turned out that Zachriel had a deep, dark past which needed to be revealed and along with it release him from the ties that bound him.

I really haven't had that before…so I was scratching my head wondering what was going on. Often, I hear my writer friends talking about their character's leading the way and I have sat back wondering what that is all about. But for the first time I experienced it first hand – when Zachriel took over.

Don't get me wrong, we learn a lot about Royanne, the person she longs to be and her own issues. In a way they help each other to move forward.

Zachriel's story needed to be told and he kept pushing and prodding revealing little bits at a time until it was all out there. I hope the readers think it makes the story stronger – I think so.

I will leave you with the blurb and excerpt.

Blurb for Guardian Possession.

Royanne longs to be free of everyone's expectations. Meeting a mysterious stranger who she is drawn to confuses her. He feeds her longing to be free and ignites a fire inside of her. She is aroused by this tortured soul. When he kidnaps her and reveals his plan, she is torn between loathing him and wanting him.

Zachriel is under orders from the Dark Master—kidnap Guardian demon Royanne. Only hiding away until the coast is clear draws him closer to her, especially as she seems to see the real man in him.

Rescued at last, Royanne feels uncertain what to do. For Zachriel his past is revealed and he must face the truth. This truth cuts to his very soul and questions who he really is. Now he must come to terms with the lie that has been his life. Royanne fights her feelings for Zachriel. She begins to see him as a kindred spirit. There is only one thing to do reveal her love for him. Can she convince him her feelings are real and he is worth loving?

Ready for a little taste?

Fire met ice. She kissed him back with equal force, which surprised him. Does this Guardian actually want me? Her hands drifted to his hips, and he felt her grip tighten, and she brought him closer into her. Oh hell, she tastes so good. He let his tongue play with her mouth, then dart between those parted  sweet lips. Her mouth was wet and warm, just as he hoped her pussy would be when his cock entered her. He cupped her breast with one hand and found her nipple taut. Kissing down her neck, he lowered her strap down her shoulder to reveal a heavy breast waiting for him. He played with her nipples with his fingers before his mouth took over. He licked them all over, the tip of his tongue flicking backward and forward.

"Oh yes," she groaned.

Then he took her wet nipple into his mouth and sucked hard. Her hips moved with every suck. Zach wondered how wet she was. He continued sucking but used one hand to lift her dress up and brought the other hand straight to her panties. He was delighted to find them getting damp. He pulled the seam aside, and he discovered she was smooth.

"Oh, so wet for me, Royanne," he said as he kissed down her stomach.

Her mind told him she wanted his mouth where his fingers played. He tore the scrap of material away and lifted her leg over his shoulder. He hungered for her, so he went to work with his mouth and tongue. Licking around her swollen lips, he sucked her clit before letting his tongue establish a rhythm. Royanne moaned and grabbed his head, pushing her hips farther into his face. The enemy tasted divine, sweet and musky. She was so close, he could read her fully now.

But no! Control was important now. He could not let her come here in this alleyway; he needed her alone to complete his mission. He stopped and got to his feet. Her eyes were dazed, and her mind was confused.

Here is a little more about me.

Michaela Rhua always dreamed of writing but this never happened until she met the lovely group of ladies known as UCW. Their passion for writing and encouragement inspired her to see if she could do it too. Now she is multi published and loves writing!

She has teenage children and a husband, who also keep her busy. However, it is whilst travelling into work that she has time to create her characters and imagine other places in which they exist as her world skims by the window. Conversations overheard often lead to the birth of new ideas that she scribbles down in her trusty notebook.

I usually hang about here:

Dirty Birdies Flock Hop #Giveaway

Who's Your Type?

Okay, okay, you know this is just an excuse for me to post nekkid pics of Joe Manganiello but I don't hear you complaining :)

There's a reason he's my go-to guy for hero inspiration. Tall, dark and handsome does it for me every time. It's difficult not to cast him as the lead in every one of my stories, especially when the latest involved a wolf shifter!

I made a conscious decision to make Caleb Jackson blond so he didn't look like a typical bad boy biker and True Blood sports quite a cast of eye candy. Apart from my personal favourite, Alcide Herveaux, there is our gorgeous Swede Alexander Skarsgard who plays Eric Northman. But, for my rebel wolf shifter I decided Ryan Kwanten had the look I was going for - cheeky/cute/sexy.

So my blond bombshell got his own book. And guess what? The Alpha of the Olcan Hills pack turned out to be tall, dark and handsome and naturally I had to tell his story too. I've just finished the second book of my series, The Wild Irish Wolves, and there will be lots more of this to come...

and this...

In the meantime I will leave you with an excerpt from The Wolf on the Hill.

Blurb

Lone wolf Caleb Jackson is only back in town long enough to sell his late father's house, and the bad memories with it. He never expected to find his mate.Good girl Mia Blake never behaves badly. Except for the time she shifts into her wolf, chases a stranger through Olcan Hills, and has the hottest sex of her life on the forest floor. He has no desire to settle down. She is afraid to upset her family. But, with someone determined to destroy Caleb's inheritance, and his secret fling with Mia getting hot and heavy,
moving on isn't as easy as he'd hoped.
Can either of them let down their guards long enough to take a chance on love?

Excerpt

Rain soaked Mia’s fur as she bounded through the woods bordering the Olcan Hills, relishing every inch of earth mashed beneath her claws. Trees became nothing more than a blur as she raced by, running to find her release out here where she answered to no one but nature. This was freedom. When she reached the top of the hill she came to a standstill and released her primal scream of frustration in a howl, unleashing everything she couldn’t say to her overbearing family, pouring every hidden truth of who she really was into one long mournful call.

In the distance, another wolf echoed her cry and answered with one of his own. This was the reason her mother despised her shifting into her wolf form. She went kind of crazy and forgot all sense of danger in the excitement. Exactly the reason why she did it in secret. And now, here she was, totally exposed in the Northern Irish countryside, crouched and listening out for the intruder’s approach.

Snapping twigs and rustling leaves marked his stealthy journey towards her but she stood her ground, regardless of how loudly her heart was beating in her ears. The wind carried his scent and raised the hackles along her spine when she sniffed the air. Another shifter, but one she didn’t recognise. Big bro would use her pelt for a rug if he found out she’d strayed beyond the boundary.

Amber eyes glowed in the dark shadows as the large grey wolf stalked through the forest. She bowed in submission. Even if she had a clue how to fight, he was double her size and twice as powerful. He growled a low warning and sniffed her with interest, his wet nose nudging her clammy fur. Did he expect her to roll over and show her belly? Pride wouldn’t let her, but she was careful not to make eye contact as he circled around her twice in case he took it as a challenge.

She only lifted her head when she saw him pad away, heading back to the cover of the trees. He stopped, looked back at her, and cocked his head to one side. When she didn’t move he returned and nipped her ear. She yelped in surprise and indignation. Of all the nerve!

The rules of engagement were abandoned in the heat of her outrage and, in a snarling frenzy, she launched herself at him. For an animal so large, the grey wolf moved gracefully, dodging her attack to race ahead and leaving Mia in dogged pursuit. Tree branches tore at her skin as she ploughed heedlessly into the woodland, but the pain dulled in the exhilaration of the chase.

As they wove their way through the undergrowth, Mia’s anger subsided to let her long-neglected sense of fun take over. He wanted her to follow him. She knew that from the glances he kept throwing back at her. So she stopped and slipped quietly behind the stump of an uprooted oak, waiting to see what he would do. White wisps of steam escaped from her nostrils as she fought to get her breath back and suddenly the area seemed too quiet.

With a thud Grey leapt onto the tree stump, and leant back onto his haunches ready to pounce. Mia took off again and this time she was the hunted. She didn’t get very far before he sprang and knocked her off her feet. In a tangle of limbs they rolled through the leafy debris of the forest floor, shifting into their human form as they came to rest, with her pinned to the ground by a hard, muscular, naked body.

"Well, that was fun." He grinned down at her, making no attempt to get off her, his green eyes full of mischief.

"If you say so." Mia’s heart still raced but she was at enough of a disadvantage wedged underneath him without admitting she enjoyed the capture as much as the chase.

"I didn’t hurt you, did I?" He bent his head to kiss the scratches marking her shoulder and suddenly the only ache she felt was hidden deep inside.

"No." She swallowed hard as he ventured closer to her already puckered nipples.

"Do you want me to stop?" His hot breath on her sensitive skin engulfed her in a tide of hormones she hadn’t been ruled by in a long time, if ever.

Maybe a piece of her wolf was still in her system, thriving on the excitement and danger, but she was horny, and ripe for the picking.

"No." With a need to touch, to taste this handsome stranger on her tongue, she manoeuvred enough room to free her hands and wind them into his dark blond hair, pulling him down into a kiss.

He massaged her breasts, first with his hand, quickly followed by his mouth. The sucking and licking around her straining pink tips made her arousal too great to bear. She writhed against him, wet and waiting, but he let her suffer further still whilst he covered her mounds in tiny, exquisite bites.

Bewitched by the woods and her fantasy lover, she swapped the dull reality of her life for this moment, cavorting like the sort of woodland nymph she longed to be. Someone who lived without fear of consequences or judgement. She wanted him. Prim and proper Mia Blake, who never stepped out of line, was lying naked in the woods with a stranger’s erection pressing into her abdomen, and she loved it.

A restlessness seized hold as her body cried out with need. Her limbs trembled, her fingers and toes curled, waiting for that final act of completion. As dusk settled around them and an ethereal fog swirled between the trees, she lost herself in the erotic dream and let him sink into her.

The Art of Pleasure

Guest Ella Laurance

Isn’t it any woman’s fantasy to have a handsome man with more money than he could possible spend in several lifetimes fall in love with her? Well, it wasn’t one of Marie’s dreams. And yet, that’s exactly what happened to her. Trevor Dewey, billionaire, wanted her the very moment he saw her. Despite Marie’s doubts about the consequences of extreme wealth, she couldn’t help but see the true man behind the bank account.

After ten years that love is still going strong…

Blurb:

Marie Dewey collects paintings and sexual experiences with different men, and her billionaire husband Trevor loves nothing more than to fulfil all her wishes…

Billionaire Trevor Dewey has two great talents—making money and loving his wife, Marie. Marie, in her turn, has two great loves—her husband and art. She's also a sexual freethinker who enjoys one-night stands with other men in the company of her own husband.

Trevor wants nothing more than to make his wife happy, so when she falls in lust with his personal assistant and best friend, Callum, and Callum returns her feelings, he decides to take both of them to his private island off the coast of Scotland for a weekend of sex. And both men will bring Marie to several unbelievable heights of pleasure during one weekend.

All three know this will be a one-time thing only before life returns to normal

Excerpt:

She walked through the exhibition rooms filled with works of Leyster, Modersohn-Becker, Kahlo, Morisot, Gentileschi, Kollwitz and many others, her hands accentuating the enthusiasm of her voice. If Trevor could have fallen in love with her even more, he would have done so. A pleasant tingling in his crotch reminded him of both the night that lay behind him and the one still to come. His wife had been insatiable, on fire, and he had done everything his body was capable of to satisfy her needs. When she had finally fallen asleep against his exhausted body, it had been with a happy smile on her face.

Marie turned her head around and smiled at him. “I can read your thoughts,” she sing-songed.

Trevor winked at her. “You’re a witch, woman, reading my mind like that.”

“Get a room, you two.” Callum waggled his eyebrows. He might not have known everything about them, but he came damn close. He had become their most trusted employee and one of their best friends, and most importantly of all, he had learned to steer expertly between those two roles. He never judged, but always spoke his mind when he thought it had to be spoken, and invariably for a good reason. Trevor had learnt from costly experience that the best he could do for himself was to ignore the vast majority of advice given to him, but when Callum talked, he listened.

The new painting hung on the wall between two other De Lempicka works, and Marie insisted both Trevor and Callum should come and admire it before the museum presented its latest acquisition to the public. Every time her husband bought a new painting for her, she was always so excited to share it with others. If there was one thing that allowed her to make peace with the fact that she was married to a billionaire, she had told Trevor, it was the opportunity to not only collecting as much art as she desired, but also building a museum so everyone could share in the joy of visual beauty. Almost everything in his life was about investment and revenue, about money making more money, but not this. This was for her, and the worth of it all lay not in dollars and pounds, but in the pleasure it gave Marie.

Look, everything around him said, look with your eyes and your heart and your mind. Simply look!

Marie stood in the middle, Trevor on her right and Callum on her left. She looked to her husband, then to his assistant and finally at the painting. Trevor couldn’t help but smile when he heard her deep, happy sigh before she said, “Thank you so much, the both of you.”

“It’s just a matter of putting more money on the table than everyone else,” Trevor said.

“I was only doing my job,” Callum said.

But Marie shook her head, “Money? Work? As if.” She turned towards Callum again, but right before she did, Trevor saw something in her eyes, if only for a fleeting second, that made him realise what would be the next gift to his wife. She wanted Callum. Or to be more precise, she wanted to have sex with him.

#SexySnippets

This week's retro #SexySnippets is taken from Pyramid of Passion, my very first release.

'Dark eyes Kohl-lined in the Egyptian fashion Rosie recognized

from history books, stared back at her. She followed the muscular

trunk of his long body, as smooth as his head, down to the

impressive cock swinging freely between strong thighs. Out of

politeness, she averted her eyes, and then to make sure she hadn’t

exaggerated, took a second look.

Standing alone with a naked stranger, common sense screamed at

her to get out. But she remained seated, frozen to the spot. The

vision before her too surreal to fear.

The living statue of masculinity knelt at her feet, an arm across

his chest and head bowed.

“Goddess Anuke, you honor me with your presence,” he said.'

Sexy and Mysterious Genevieve Bergeron

My Genre? Sexy and Mysterious

Hi, I’m Gen—I wrote erotic romance. Yes, it’s so nice to meet you, too.

Before we move on, I’d like to send a huge “thank you” to the lovely Jorja Lovett for allowing me this visit with all of you today!

Now, I have one question: Who likes a good mystery?

I’m still a new(ish) romance author—in fact, my second book, Sorry, Bro, was just released from Total E-Bound last Friday—so you may not be familiar with my work. But if there’s one thing you should know about my style, it’s that I love a good, old-fashioned mystery.

Pick up a copy of Sorry, Bro, and you’ll know what I mean. While a sexy romp is vital to any good romance, so is a little something extra that keeps the reader guessing.

In Sorry, Bro, you’ll find yourself asking why Bryce, the main character, becomes morbidly depressed when he finds Tim, an old friend from high school, in his care at the hospital where he works. Or why Bryce’s girlfriend suddenly breaks up with him after hearing about Tim. Or why Bryce and Tim—once attached at the hip—had not spoken in years.

A little bit of mystery is a mainstay of my work. My first work, Hyperpersonal, Hypersexual, centers on a blossoming online romance. And when Juliette, the heroine, meets her online flame, you, the reader, will be even more surprised than she is.

Ready for a little something both sexy and mysterious? Try Sorry, Bro from Total E-Bound. I think you’ll like it.

Thanks for reading!

xo,

Gen

Blurb

Still aching from the mistakes and denials of his past, this ER nurse could heal anyone but himself…until now.

Handsome, athletic and intelligent, twenty-six-year-old Bryce should be living the high life.

But he’s far from it.

After shunning his best baseball buddy in high school, dropping out of medical school and fleeing New York to put down roots—if only shallow ones—in New Orleans, Bryce is uncertain about both his past and his future. Working long hours as a low-level nurse and confined by a sexless relationship with a questionably devoted girlfriend, Bryce can’t shake the feeling that things should be somehow better now he’s escaped the confusion and indecision of his former life.

Yet when the ghost of Bryce’s high school past, the handsome and charismatic Tim, shows up injured in the ER, Bryce’s already turbulent emotions engulf him in a vortex of confusion and regret. Haunted by his own insensitivity towards Tim eight years before, Bryce first finds comfort in the powerful arms of a resident surgeon he barely knows, then gives Tim the explosive, cataclysmic relief he had denied him in high school. As Bryce comes to terms with his sexuality and recognises his undeniable attraction to both men, he must decide, once and for all, where his fidelity—and his desires—lie.

Raven McAllan's - Master

I always love visiting Jorja; she always has yummy sandwiches in gluten free bread for me. peers inside the sandwich Oh nice, smoked salmon and cucumber.

Anyway, I'm not here to talk about food, though I must say the Victoria Sponge is sort of calling to me, I'm here to talk about my latest release from Evernight Publishing.

Master is a love story, there's no two ways about it. But it's not straightforward. Well, love never is really, is it? Even the boy meets girl, girl fancies boy, boy loves girl etc. etc., usually has a few girl hates boy, boy thinks with his dick scenarios in it. What is it they say, true love never runs smooth? Well it certainly didn't for Anna and Caden.

I really enjoyed writing their story, but it wasn't straightforward. As anyone who's been good enough to read any blogs by me before, (oh and thank you) you'll know I'm a pantster. Someone who doesn't plot. I'm led by my characters and do as they dictate. Therefore as I wrote Master, I really had no idea where it was going to end, or how. Oh I hoped for a happy ending, but at times I really wasn't sure it could happen. Talk about stubborn! Sigh

But the great thing was, even as I laughed and cried as I typed, their characters came to me, strong and determined. I knew that in the end they would sort things out—or did I? Let's be honest, I hoped they would.

All writers have their own way of writing, and at times I do wonder what it would be like to know exactly where my story was going. But I can't write like that, so I console myself that if I'm all caught up in "ohh, I wonder what's going to happen" hopefully so will the readers be.

Here's the blurb…

Caden McCourt did not expect to find his estranged wife Diana at a BDSM club. When he does, the renowned Master is determined to claim back his errant wife.

When Diana left him fifteen years prior, she lost a part of herself. Seeing Cade again throws her into a tail spin.

She cannot be the sub he needs, but she can't walk away either. When she's challenged by Cade to face her demons, her old nightmares resurface. Can they overcome the chasm between them, or are the nightmares simply too strong?

And how about a wee tease?

"Here's the details of the guy I was telling you about." Linsey waved the document in her hand. "It's a real coup getting him to agree to guest here, I tell you. Evidently, it’s a rare occurrence when he guests. He'll be here in a day or so to look round." She handed the slim file to Anna, who took it and started to read the typed pages. The name jumped out at Anna and spots floated in front of her eyes. There was a strange ringing noise in her ears; her pulse raced, and her skin went clammy.

Oh hell, don't let me faint. Not here, not now. Let me tell her. She opened her mouth to speak, but couldn't form the words. A week, wavery croak was the best she could manage. Anna began to hyperventilate, and for the life of her couldn't stop.

"Anna, what's wrong?" Linsey pushed Anna's head down. "Take deep breaths, come on now, you're fine."

Am I? I'm not so sure. However, Anna did as Linsey told her and gradually the ringing disappeared, and her vision cleared. She gulped in air and wiped her forehead on the tissue Linsey handed to her.

"Don't move." Linsey left the office. Anna couldn't have moved if she tried. Her legs felt like jelly, and pins and needles bombarded her skin like tiny hailstones. Linsey re-entered the room and passed Anna a glass of water. "Drink it slowly and tell me what brought that on. Are you pregnant? Am I going to have to try to knit booties and have coal around for you to eat?"

That made Anna smile, albeit a somewhat small grin. "Not a snowball in hell’s chance of that. No, it's just you okayed this guy." She handed the form back, hoping her hands didn't shake.

Linsey scanned the form. "Yeah? Well, what's not to accept? I'm really over the moon with this. He's a well-respected Dom. Great form, even better credentials, and all his subs rave about him. We're honored to get him. He's very picky where he demonstrates and only does a couple of guest nights a year. He has the choice of anywhere in the world to go, and he chose to come here. I was gobsmacked, I tell you. We'd have them queuing to the border to get in if we advertised. What a coup. So, as I said, what’s not to accept? I should be genuflecting all the way to his base and back again."

Now how could she answer that?

With the truth.

***

Not easy though is it? To tell the truth, especially in a situation like that. If you want to find out what that's all about, you'll need to read the book.

Raven lives in Scotland, along with her husband and their two cats—their children having flown the nest—surrounded by beautiful scenery, which inspires a lot of the settings in her books.

She is used to sharing her life with the occasional deer, red squirrel, and lost tourist, to say nothing of the scourge of Scotland—the midge.

A lover of reading, she appreciates the history inside a book, and the chance to peek into the lives of those from years ago. Raven admits that she enjoys the research for her books almost as much as the writing; so much so, that sometimes she realizes she's strayed way past the information she needs to know, and not a paragraph has been added to her WIP.

Her lovely long-suffering husband is learning to love the dust bunnies, work the Aga, and be on stand-by with a glass of wine.
